"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtfully committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
Proving this quote right yet again was the Seek a Miracle Ataxia Group - SAMAG India at their Tree Plantation ceremony held on September 24, 2011. SAMAG India's volunteers, along with the members of Lions Club of Charminar, jointly organized a tree plantation ceremony at the Bola rum Polo Grounds. This event was conducted to promote the 'Green Earth Concept' as well as the 'International Ataxia Awareness Day (IAAD) 2011'. Members of SAMAG and the Lions Club planted over 500 saplings at the Polo grounds. The event was graced by several Army officers as well.
We at SAMAG thank the Lions Club of Charminar, the Indian Army and the National Ataxia Foundation (NAF) for working along with us to help promote the concept of Green Earth and for always supporting us in all our endeavors. We would also like to specially thank our volunteers for braving the heat and planting the saplings. We thank Satish Kumar (SAMAG Chief Volunteer & IBM UNIX Admin Manager), Anandeshi Vinay, ES.Jyotsna, C.Maha Lakshmi and George (senior) for all their efforts.
We thank everyone involved with SAMAG and its activities again.
We don't need a specific day to plant a sapling. If everyone helped the planet stay green, the Earth would never have the problem of global warming. With this thought, we encourage everyone to do their bit to keep the planet green. As we say, 'Every day is Earth Day'.

Best wishes,
Seek a Miracle Ataxia Group
